Takeita Tollman was born and raised in North Carolina. While in high school, she became a certified nursing assistant and discovered her love for helping others. Takeita attended The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received her Bachelor of Arts in, both, Mass Communications and African American Studies in 2007.

In 2010, she was awarded her Juris Doctor from the University of Akron School of Law and also obtained a Masters degree in public administration. During law school, Takeita had the honor of taking on the role as judicial clerk for two municipal court judges. She was also the president of the Black Law Students’ Association and was actively involved in the local community as a volunteer for various organizations.

Before joining Hasner Law, Takeita worked at another well-known firm and represented Social Security claimants throughout the United States, with much focus on the states of Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina; she also represented parties in civil litigation suits in the state of Georgia. She is a member of the Georgia State Bar and the United States District Court Northern District of Georgia.

She is also a member of the Port City Bar and a former member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives, and the Military Spouse JD Network. Takeita is also a accredited Veterans Affairs disability attorney.

Outside of work, she enjoys singing karaoke and spending time with her family.
