In Buford, Georgia, a tragic incident occurred outside the Mall of Georgia when a four-year-old child, identified as Abigail Hernandez, was fatally struck by a pickup truck on March 10. According to the Gwinnett County Police, the accident involved an 18-year-old driver attempting a left turn, resulting in the collision with the young victim and two others while they were crossing the street.

The accident took place near Dick’s Sporting Goods store within the complex’s parking lot around 4 p.m. on the day in question. The young girl was urgently transported to Children’s Hospital of Atlanta Egleston, where she succumbed to her injuries. The other victims, a 31-year-old male and a seven-year-old female, whose names have not been disclosed, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and received treatment at Northside Hospital Lawrenceville.

The circumstances leading to the crash remain unclear, with authorities conducting a detailed investigation into the matter.
