ATLANTA – Early Tuesday morning, a severe incident occurred as a man was critically injured in a shooting outside the Bulbul Food Mart on Lynhurst Drive in southwest Atlanta.
The episode unfolded around 3:45 a.m. in the food mart’s parking lot when the unidentified man, believed to be in his 40s, suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
First responders arrived promptly on the scene to offer assistance, quickly transitioning the emergency into a race against time to save the man’s life.
Emergency medical professionals provided immediate care and transported the victim to Grady Memorial Hospital for urgent treatment. He currently remains there in a critical state.
Detectives are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, piecing together events that escalated to the violence witnessed.
The Atlanta Police Department is appealing to members of the public for information that could aid in their ongoing investigation. Witnesses or individuals with knowledge of the shooting are encouraged to come forward.
